About the Department:
The Department of Medical-Surgical Nursing is one of three departments contributing to the undergraduate programs at the College of Nursing, Prince Sattam Bin Abdulaziz University. In line with the mission and vision of the College of Nursing and the University, the Department of Nursing's vision is based on the premise that nursing is the art, science, and discipline of caring for people by promoting, maintaining, and restoring health and well-being throughout the lifespan.
The department is committed to providing a conducive learning environment that offers courses designed to help students acquire the knowledge, skills, attitudes, and behaviours necessary to care for acute and chronic health conditions in adults within the scope of adult health nursing fundamentals and critical care nursing.
The department's faculty members possess diverse teaching experiences and research interests, including cardiology, pulmonology, oncology, geriatrics, family care, health behaviour, patient and nurse education, quality in healthcare, and other related fields.
